Parking Sensors And Radio - I May Be Being Dense!

Ok, I got a brand spanking new Galaxy Titanium X a fortnight ago on the Motability scheme. It's fab! However, I thought the parking sensors had broken today - no beeping forwards or backwards, no matter how close I got. They were working yesterday, but today had suddenly stopped.

 

I was prepared to take it back to the garage, and then I suddenly had a brainwave... I turned the radio on. Suddenly it started working again. Do I HAVE to have the stereo on to use the parking sensors? And if so, why did nobody tell me?!

Something seriously wrong here, i do not for one second think you need to have the stereo on for the parking sensors to work. Take it back to the dealer as it sounds that you may have a short circuit somewhere.
